VCA Companion Animal Hospital is a well established, full service small animal hospital and a staple of the Redding community since 1994. We take pride in delivering top medical care for our patients while providing outstanding client service to our valued clients. We see both dogs and cats and are members of The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP). We focus on pet health wellness, routine and advanced dental care, preventatives/parasite control, and hospitalization for medical patients. Our knowledgeable veterinarians and support staff are experienced and compassionate. Richard Suther
DVMDr. Suther grew up in Redding, California, attended Enterprise High School and Shasta College. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of California, Davis and also his D.V.M. degree there in 1988. Other than one year in practice in Fresno, California, he has practiced his entire career in the Redding area. He joined VCA Companion in November 1993.

Ilona Lanning
DVMDr. Lanning grew up in the bay area, went to UC Davis as an undergraduate, and received a Bachelors degree in Genetics after completing her D.V.M. degree. She and her family moved to the Redding area in 1999 and she has been a veterinarian at VCA Companion since June of that year.
