Dr. Suther grew up in Redding, California, attended Enterprise High School and Shasta College. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of California, Davis and also his D.V.M. degree there in 1988. Other than one year in practice in Fresno, California, he has practiced his entire career in the Redding area. He joined VCA Companion in November 1993.

Dr. Lanning grew up in the bay area, went to UC Davis as an undergraduate, and received a Bachelors degree in Genetics after completing her D.V.M. degree. She and her family moved to the Redding area in 1999 and she has been a veterinarian at VCA Companion since June of that year.
